The textured silicone really seems to help my daughter get a grip on these, and she loves gnawing on the soft tips between bites. Nice that they're gentle enough for her gums while she's still figuring out how to hold a utensil.

My 6-month-old actually managed to scoop some mashed avocado with these on the first try. The soft textured silicone is gentle on her gums, and the short handle fits her little fist perfectly.

Bought these for my 6-month-old to start self-feeding and the soft silicone is gentle on her gums while she gnaws on the handles. Only wish the heads were a touch deeper for scooping, but for stage 1 holding practice they do the job.
