The smock is so lightweight that my daughter forgets she’s wearing it, which is exactly what you want during painting time. That big front pocket caught a full cup of water she tipped over, so nothing got on her clothes underneath.

The large pocket actually saves our table from paint drips—it caught a whole puddle of washable blue before it hit the floor. My 5-year-old can slip it on over his t-shirt without help, and it’s light enough he forgets he’s wearing it during snack time.
